BragDev LLC (“BragDev”, “we”, “us”) runs bragdev.com and BragDev Talent, a technical talent search and vetting service for U.S. engineering teams. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who this policy covers
- Visitors to bragdev.com.
- Professionals who apply to join the BragDev Talent network.
- Companies and their staff who contact us about a role or hold a Talent Access Membership.
- Technical interviewers who evaluate professionals for us.
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
2. What we collect
If you apply to join the network
- Account: email address, name, and the password you set (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
- Profile: professional title, seniority, years of experience, professional summary, U.S. state or territory, city (optional), time zone, LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio links (optional), desired hourly rate (optional), minimum hours, preferred engagement length, availability and skills with self-rated proficiency and years.
- Consent record: the date and time you agreed to this policy.
- Vetting records, created as you progress: results of identity and work-history checks, technical assessment results, technical interview scores and notes, communication evaluation, references you provide (names and contact details) and their outcomes, and BragDev’s decisions with their reasons.
- Work history you add in the talent portal.
If you contact us or hold a membership
- What you enter in the form: name, work email, company, the role you are hiring for, whether the role is approved and funded, when you need someone to start, and your message.
- Technical information sent with the form: IP address, browser, device type and the page you sent it from.
- Information exchanged during the calibration conversation and the membership (the role scorecard, feedback on professionals, engagement details).
- Your client account: your name and email, your company name, and your membership’s plan and dates, shown in the client portal.
- Payments: you pay through a checkout run by SureCart, and Stripe processes the card. SureCart keeps your billing details and order history; we never see or store your card number. Our system stores only the purchase reference and the plan name.
If you are a technical interviewer
- Name, email, years of experience, a short bio, the specialties you interview in, and the evaluations you submit.
When you visit the site
- Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and operations.
- We use no analytics or advertising trackers, and ordinary visitors receive no cookies. Signing in sets the essential cookies WordPress needs to keep you signed in.
- Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.
- Pages load scripts from SureCart (our payments provider) and Hostinger Reach (an email-marketing tool from our web host; we don’t currently use it to collect anything). SureCart’s checkout may set cookies needed to complete a purchase.
3. How we use information
- To evaluate applications and vet professionals.
- To match vetted professionals with approved client roles, and to run memberships: calibration, sourcing, weekly updates, evidence profiles and interview coordination.
- To reply to messages and send account emails (password setup, password reset, membership confirmation). A copy of each email the site sends, including its text, is kept in the site’s email log.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse (for example, rate-limiting applications), and keep a record of vetting decisions.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. What we share with clients (professionals)
When we present a professional for a client’s role, the client sees an evidence profile: title, seniority and years of experience; skills, each marked verified or self-reported; availability and time zone; vetting status; and a summary of interview and assessment results.
Your name and professional links are shared only after you agree to interview for that specific role. We never share with clients your desired hourly rate, your contact details without your agreement, your references’ contact details, identity documents or private verification records.
5. Service providers
We use providers who process information on our behalf, under their own security and privacy terms:
- Hostinger: website hosting, databases and server backups.
- Google: encrypted-in-transit backup copies of our database stored in Google Drive, and Google Fonts.
- Email: our mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace. Emails the site sends are delivered by our web host or by Google Workspace.
- Identity or background-check services, if we use one during vetting. It receives only what it needs for the check.
- SureCart and Stripe for membership payments.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business (with notice to you).
6. How long we keep information
We keep your information until you ask us to delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it longer (for example, payment and tax records).
- Backups: deleted information can remain in backup copies until they are replaced. We keep 7 daily database backups in Google Drive, and our web host keeps its own rolling backups.
- Vetting decision records are the evidence behind a “Vetted” label, so they stay as long as the related profile exists.
7. Your choices and rights
- See and update your profile at any time in the talent portal.
- Ask us at contact@bragdev.com to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop being considered for client roles. We will confirm your identity before acting and reply within the time the law requires. Some records (for example, a vetting decision we are legally required to keep) may be retained where the law allows.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed; access to vetting data is limited by role inside our system; changes to vetting status are recorded; the site uses HTTPS; and backups are kept off the web server. No system is perfectly secure, so we also limit what we collect to what the service needs.
9. Where information is processed
BragDev operates in the United States, and the service is for U.S.-based professionals and U.S. engineering teams. Our service providers may store and process information in the United States or in other countries where they operate.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell members by email before the change takes effect.
